welcome

We are a state-wide organization for the purpose of improving animal welfare throughout West Virginia.  We provide an information network of animal issues and promote effective legislation on animal welfare, care, health, cruelty and neglect...  We need local humane societies and individuals to get involved to help us in our effort to improve animal welfare throughout West Virginia.

Tell us what your local humane society is doing to help the animals!!  Join FOHO as other groups have done to support statewide animal issues - together we can make it happen!

You can view the WV State Law on Animals in Word .doc format here.
The Index to the WV State Law on Animals may be found in Word .doc format here.

This could be great news for factory farmed animals!
HSUS is supporting the efforts of voters in California to vote against cruel caging in the November 08 election.  This initiative would phase out three of the worst factory farm abuses: veal crates for calves, battery cages for egg-laying hens, and gestation crates for breeding pigs.  Read more about this and how you can help at www.hsus.org
